Regency Hospital Company was formed by WCP to develop and operate long-term acute care hospitals (LTACs). LTACs are specialized intensive care facilities that treat critically-ill patients who require intensive intervention over an extended period of time. The company operates 23 hospitals in nine states and is the third largest LTAC operator in the United States.
