Cincinnati, OH, February 2011 – CarePoint Partners (“CarePoint”) today announced at the National Home Infusion Association Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida that it has acquired Infusion Technologies, a provider of home infusion therapies including antibiotics, IVIG, nutrition, the associated nursing services and a variety of specialty injections, with locations in North Miami and Tampa. This new market presence strengthens the CarePoint Partners footprint in Florida by complementing its Jacksonville location. This marks CarePoint’s eleventh acquisition in just over three years, making CarePoint one of the largest independent infusion therapy providers in the United States with twenty sites in eight states.
“We are excited to continue our growth in the Florida market. This is another important step toward achieving our goal of providing high-quality infusion therapy services throughout the state of Florida,” said Dana Soper, CarePoint’s Chief Executive Officer. “The addition of these two sites of service not only expands our reach for providing care to home infusion patients, but also strengthens our expertise in the specialty injectable pharmacy business providing our company the capability to expand our services to meet market demands.”
Taeho Oh, co-founder of Infusion Technologies said, “We are very excited to team up with CarePoint Partners and be a part of a great organization. More importantly, our patients will benefit since CarePoint Partners expands our local and regional coverage. The synergy and the opportunity to work together make us at Infusion Technologies feel great about our future.”
