CarePoint Partners Expands into Texas with Acquisition of Allied Preferred Care

Chicago, IL, October 2010 – Waud Capital Partners (“WCP”) announced that its portfolio company, CarePoint Partners (“CarePoint”), has acquired Infusion Services, LLC d/b/a Allied Preferred Care (“Allied”). Based in Dallas, Allied maintains a strong market presence throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The company provides a range of home infusion therapies including IVIG, antibiotics and nutrition and will continue to operate under the “Allied” name, maintaining the same team of infusion professionals that have been integral to Allied’s success to date.

“CarePoint is excited to enter Dallas, the fourth-largest addressable market in the United States,” said Dana Soper, CarePoint’s Chief Executive Officer. “Allied provides us with a presence in Texas, and we hope to expand in the near future to other markets within the state.”

Tom Swayden, President of Allied, said, “We have built an excellent reputation by focusing on providing high quality patient care, and we are pleased to partner with CarePoint, whose values closely align with Allied’s.”

Matt Clary, Partner at WCP, added, “We are happy to bring Allied into the CarePoint network and look forward to continuing our acquisition strategy going forward.”

With this transaction, CarePoint has completed nine acquisitions since its inception in December 2007, making it the most acquisitive, and one of the largest independent providers of, infusion therapy in the United States.
